Domaine Lavantureux - Chablis 1er Cru "Fourchaume" 2017
Domaine Lavantureux "Fourchaume" - Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay 2017 [A.O.P. Chablis, France].
This family estate is located in Lignorelles, Chablis. The domaine is transmitted from father to sons for many successful generations of winemaking. Today, David & Arnoud perpetuate with all their passion & love the family history as Lavantureux frères (Lavantureux brothers). The vines can be found in Maligny on the road to Chablis. The vineyards have a South West exposure to ensure an optimal sunshine. According to the brothers, this year has been absolutely memorable. The incredible summer helped to harvest the grapes in good condition. The grapes were healthy with a very fine balance.
The brothers follow the principle of 'viticulture Intégrée' in the vineyards (e.g. no weeding & pesticides). In the winery they try to 'accompany' the wines. Meaning they only 'guide' the wine when necessary.
